Travelling Fellowships

The British Epidermo Epidemiology Society offers £750 each year to allow anyone interested in high quality epidemiology or health services research in relation to dermatology to present their work at an overseas scientific meeting such as the ESDR, SID, or tri-continental meeting.  Interested applicants should send an abstract of the work they wish to present to Professor Hywel Williams by the 31st July of each year and the awards will be announced soon afterwards.

Travelling Fellowship awarded 31st July 2011

The BEES Travelling Fellowship of £750 was awarded jointly to Anastasia Theodosiou and Oliver Mitchell, two medical students from the University of Cambridge, who attended the 41st Annual ESDR Meeting in Barcelona.

A note from Anastasia and Oliver is below:

'Thanks to the kind and generous support we received from BEES, we were able to attend the 41st annual ESDR meeting in Barcelona. As medical students from the University of Cambridge, this was a fantastic opportunity to present our poster, entitled,
"A Fashion To Die For? An Evaluation of the UK Public Health Campaign on Sunbeds
We had the chance to attend fascinating lectures and receive constructive feedback on our work from fellow delegates. Beautiful Barcelona proved to be the perfect setting to further develop our interests in dermatology and public health
