The BEES Annual Scientific Meeting is usually a one-day meeting composed of a range of key invited speakers, often around a specific theme. We like to invite non-dermatologists and non-clinical scientists to add to the breadth of the topics and to bring new insights to our research field. Typically, we invite an overseas speaker at all of the meetings. In addition, to the invited thematic speakers, a number of abstracts are also presented orally and sometimes in poster form. Abstracts are usually published subsequently in the British Journal of Dermatology.
The BEES Meeting is usually held during one day and around 60-70 people typically attend. The meeting may be held at Nottingham, Cardiff, or London, but we are open to suggestions for other locations. The BEES Meeting prides itself in ample discussion for getting to the real underlying issues facing clinical research in dermatology rather than highly polished presentations of materials we have all heard before. Members are encouraged to bring research ideas at an early stage of development for discussion.
